Hosting Manatū Hauora - Pacific Health Team

On 18 June, 2024, the Tangata Atumotu team had the great opportunity to host and facilitate a talanoa alongside Manatū Hauora - the Pacific team within the Ministry of Health.

Members of the wider community gathered at the fono to hear the report on the progress made by Te Mana Ola – Aotearoa’s legislated Pacific Health Strategy.

As a Pasifika healthcare provider, sharing our insights has been integral in shaping this strategy, and we saw this as another important step to ensure our voices are reflected within the regional and national health plans.

Complete with music and dance performances from our Mātua group, it was reassuring to see our community come together for such an important initiative. A big vinaka vakalevu to all those that attended, sharing their voices and feedback.
